One of our favorite things about our neighborhood is that we can walk to Commonwealth Lake Park. The day we moved in, our neighbors, who became good friends, told us about this man-made lake and park and we’ve been going there every since. Before I got pregnant with Sophia (and thus six am walks were out of the question), I used to take early morning walks around it every morning. Paul walks around it most afternoons before going back to work. It’s a bit long for the kids to walk there, around, and back (more than two miles), but sometimes we drive down and then walk around the lake, ending up at the playground just before we get back to the beginning. The weather has been beautiful this week, so we headed down this morning to walk, eat lunch, and play.
Sophia is always strapped to me, so the only way I get photographic proof that she’s around is to try and take a selfie with my giant camera – I hold it out as far as I can, point in her general direction, and hope for the best. This time I got her icy blue eyes.
I think Miriam is making a monster face.
She wanted to show off her rainbow tights for the camera.
